A Recycling Revolution

In fulfilling a circular battery economy, the challenge in the UK, and indeed worldwide, is the investment required in new facilities to recycle precious metals effectively. A recycling revolution is required. The technology exists but the facilities are limited, so we will be working with partners like Veola and the UK government to help ensure that Britain becomes a leading centre for recycling batteries in pursuit as the implementation of circular economies. 

In the meantime, Lifos has partnered with a company that specialises in the recycling of lithium battery packs and which complies with all UK and international regulations for separating battery content and disposing of batteries in an environmentally friendly way.

Lifos is committed to limiting waste and designing new products which can be recycled more easily.

We aim to have 35% of our lithium battery cells made from recycled materials by 2035
